Parents

Ideally, we could all sit for hours with our kids as they surf the web and explore websites. Unfortunately, the reality is we can't always do that. So we have to feel good about our children going online, and trust that websites designed for children will keep them safe from the dangers of the internet - and Uville does just that! We also think that a website should offer children activities that are positive and rewarding; and we aim to do that too. But it's always a good idea to stay involved with what websites your child visits online - to make it easy, here's some ideas:

  • Be aware that your child is online - use computer time as a chance to spend some time together.
  • Approve the use of our website. Make sure our site is right for you and your family.
  • Help your child to log on and become a "citizen" of Uville, and definitely help your child become a member.
  • Set up Uville as a "Favorite" for children in your home to easily access.
  • Log in to the Parent Section where you can access settings for your child's account and contact us here at Uville with any questions you have.

Additionally, we designed Uville to have lots of activities that you can do along with your child:

curiosity creativity self-expressionMy U-Book
My U-Book is a short set of fun questions that kids answer about who they are. This activity challenges children to think about the world around them. Help your child fill out this book and talk together about plans and ideas. This 'book' can be printed off and shared with family and friends or snapped into a scrapbook or journal to capture a special time in your childs life. For safety, My U-Book cannot be accessed by others.

curiosity creativity self-expressionMy Wish List
Help your child create a virtual wish list of Uville merchandise that can be purchased by friends and family. Your child will need your help entering friends' and family's email addresses. Communication via the wishlist is safe and secure and provides no identifying information about your child, or his/her account at Uville.

Print off coloring pages featuring the Ucrew and color together. Use this opportunity to ask your child which character is his or her favorite and why.

Uville and Education

We feel that Uville is one of those exceptional places online - where your child can have fun and still be learning! We've scattered educational games throughout the site that work with your child on spelling (check out the Word Search!), facts (the Brainteaser is such a treat!) and the States Game, where along with Racoo children practice racing the clock to name the states. We are committed to continually adding opportunities for your child to learn at our website.

Additionally, Uville encourges reading, writing, money management, keyboard skills, and responsibility.
